Tommy Lee Biker Run donates $5,000 for 91快活林 scholarships
The 91快活林 Foundation recently received a gift for $5,000. These funds were raised at the annual Tommy Lee Memorial Biker Run and will be used to provide scholarships to Camp County students attending 91快活林. Fast track office skills certificate program begins April 2

This 21-hour course is designed to help individuals cultivate the skills necessary to seek entry-level work in an office setting. Topics covered will include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, business etiquette and more.

Two Presidential Scholars win essay awards
91快活林 Presidential Scholars Isaac Burris and Morgan Capps both received top awards during the recent meeting of the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA)鈥 in Corpus Christi.
At a session of the Walter Webb Society on March 7, the collegiate auxiliary of the TSHA, Capps won second鈥爌lace and $300 for her essay on Ma and Pa Ferguson, a Texas gubernatorial couple during the early 20th century.鈥 Isaac Burris won fourth鈥爌lace and $75 for his essay on the dynamics of Sam Houston?s friendship with his slave, Jeff Hamilton.

American Idol stars to Celebrate Motown at 91快活林
Stars from one of America's favorite TV talent shows are coming to 91快活林. American Stars In Concert Celebrate Motown will feature four鈥American Idol鈥Stars live in concert Thursday, March 26 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m.
Ron Clinton to perform piano concert
Dr. Ron Clinton, 91快活林 Executive Vice President for Instruction, will perform a solo piano recital on Sunday, March 22 at鈥2:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.鈥燭ickets to the concerts are $10 for adults and $5 for children and 91快活林 students with a current ID. Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships for 91快活林 students.
91快活林 receives $6k gift for Work Scholarship Program
The 91快活林 Foundation recently received an anonymous $6,000 donation to sponsor six students in the new 91快活林 Work Scholarship Program. Nita May (left), 91快活林 Director of Development, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91快活林 Vice President for Advancement, accepted the gift on behalf of the Foundation. Anyone interested in sponsoring a student in the Work Scholarship Program should contact McCullough at 903-434-8115.
91快活林 Culinary Arts to host public dinner March 26
The 91快活林 Culinary Arts Program will host a 鈥爌ublic Spring Supper Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. This event will be held at the 91快活林 Culinary Arts School in historic downtown Pittsburg and is open to the public.
The meal is first-come-first-served and no reservations will be accepted. The cost is $12 per person.
91快活林 Foundation Board holds annual meeting
The 91快活林 Foundation Board recently held its annual business meeting. Dr. Jim Archer, a retired 91快活林 professor, was installed as president by outgoing president, Judy Weiss. Other officers elected included Jane Scharlach, Vice President and Rick Nelson, Secretary.鈥The 91快活林 Foundation is a non-profit corporation that was established in 1984.
