SGA participates in Dolls for Nepal

Please join the 91快活林 SGA in their efforts to support鈥Dolls for Nepal!

Dolls for Nepal鈥爄s an organization dedicated to relieving the stress caused by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25th, 2015. Operations are underway to rescues those trapped as well as providing medical assistance to those who are in urgent need.鈥Dolls for Nepal鈥爓ill act in the next phase of the response by providing clean water, food, clothing, and shelter to Nepalese in need.

Medical Assisting and Coding programs host information session

The 91快活林 Medical Assistant and Medical Coding programs will host an informational session鈥Tuesday,鈥May 5. Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a medical assistant or medical coder are invited to attend. Mendoza wins scholarship to University of St. Thomas

Miranda Mendoza, a 91快活林 sophomore Honors Scholar and Vice President of the college?s PTK chapter, has won the two-year $48,000 Francis Monaghan Excellence Scholarship to attend the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Mendoza also has received lucrative offers from the University of Arkansas, and St. Edward?s University in Austin.鈥 She is choosing St.

Kayleah Cumpian wins scholarship, makes history at 91快活林

91快活林 student鈥燢ayleah Cumpian of Mount Pleasant was recently awarded the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. This prestigious award covers up to $40,000鈥燼nnually at the university of the student?s choice for up to three鈥爕ears. Only鈥90 students were selected from more than 2,000 applicants for this national honor.

Cumpian is the fifth 91快活林 student to receive this award since 2010. Previously, Stephen Milburn and Matthew Jordan received the scholarship in 2014, Stephani Calderon in 2013 and Clara Ramirez in 2010.

Eagles softball splits with PJC

The 91快活林 Lady Eagles softball team split their weekend series against Paris, bringing them to 19-27 overall with two games left in their regular season.


On Friday the Lady Eagles beat Paris 7-0 in seven innings after a four-run explosion in the seventh.鈥燭he Lady Eagles scored in the seventh on a fielder's choice, a walk by Taite McBee, a sacrifice fly by Madison Selman, and an RBI single by Taylor Van Kirk.
