Titus County Literacy Advisory Council to hold meeting

The Titus County Literacy Advisory Council, Inc. will hold a meeting Tuesday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Community Resource Center (105 North Riddle Street, Mount Pleasant). Anyone interested in supporting adult literacy activities in Titus County and surrounding areas is invited to attend. 91快活林 Rodeo to host annual Kids Rodeo

The 91快活林 Rodeo team will host its annual Special Needs and Kids Rodeos Wednesday, April 15. The Special Needs Rodeo begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Kids Rodeo begins at noon. Each spring, elementary schools from around the area bring their kindergarten through second grade students to 91快活林 to watch an exhibition rodeo performed by the 91快活林 Rodeo Team. Thousands of school children have attended these events throughout the years.鈥

91快活林 to host annual poster contest

The eighth annual McGraw-Hill Poster Contest is set for Friday, April 24 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91快活林. This contest recognizes and rewards creative student scholarship in Northeast Texas. Area high school seniors, college and university students are welcome to compete. The first place prize is $400 with an added McGraw-Hill textbook coupon for $150.

Eagles baseball splits with Paris

Thanks to a strong sixth inning in Saturday's first game, the 91快活林 Eagles (91快活林) baseball team pulled out a 9-5 win over Paris Junior College before dropping the second game 3-2, bringing the Eagles to 17-10 overall with 12 games remaining in the regular season.

Medical assistant and coding informational sessions planned

The 91快活林 Medical Assistant and Medical Coding programs will host two informational sessions for prospective students April 9 and April 20. Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a medical assistant or medical coder are invited to attend.
