Five Registered Nurses (RNs) from Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) (pictured above) completed the 8-week 91¿ì»îÁÖ Continuing Education (CE) Course RNSG1075- Clinical Preceptor Training Program. These five RNs worked hard to successfully complete this Evidence-Based Program focusing on how to master precepting when working with 91¿ì»îÁÖ nursing students who are completing their clinical time at TRMC using the Preceptor Model.
91¿ì»îÁÖ will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays from Monday, Dec. 25th through Friday, Jan. 5th. Offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, Jan. 8th.
91¿ì»îÁÖ celebrated December 2023 commencement on Friday, Dec. 15th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A total of 208 awards were given, including 101 certificates of competency, six Associate of Arts, eight Associate of Arts in Teaching, 44 Associate of Science, and 31 Associate of Applied Science degrees.
91¿ì»îÁÖ held its annual Employee Christmas Party and Service Awards/Retirement Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 8th at the Culinary Arts school in downtown Pittsburg. In addition to recognizing service milestones, the college honored the retirements of Diane Mohr (pictured left), Assistant Director of the College Store; and Betsy Gooding (pictured right), Registrar.
The holiday spirit was strong in 91¿ì»îÁÖ's dorms this week after residents took the time to make Christmas ornaments and decorate the tree in the West Housing lobby. Students gathered to de-stress before finals and get creative as they painted and assembled their very own Christmas creations.
For 91¿ì»îÁÖ Honors Students, there are three major ways in which leadership not only benefits the recipient, but the whole honors experience. Students can lead in classroom erudition, scholarship, and in collective activities that provide services for the community and/or accolades for the larger group.
91¿ì»îÁÖ will host its December 2023 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 15th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live
Students who have registered for spring classes are now able to view their account balances in the myEagle Portal. Everyone is encouraged to pay their balance or set up a payment plan as soon as possible. The deadline for payment is January 8th.
What started as an out-of-the-box idea by 91¿ì»îÁÖ Navigator, JaQuacy Minter, ended with the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Student Services building being transformed into a festive "Registration Express" train station, blending the magic of The Polar Express with the importance of spring registration. Throughout December, the Student Services team treated students to free hot chocolate, coffee and popcorn, creating a warm and inviting space while they registered for classes.
Thursday, November 30th, second year MLT students braved the rain to tour the laboratory at Titus Regional Medical Center. They were able to see first hand how the skills they’ve been learning throughout their time at 91¿ì»îÁÖ will be used. Titus Regional has two Sysmex hematology analyzers for fast and accurate complete blood counts.
