The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91快活林 is pleased to announce that it has added a special performance by the popular a cappella country music group to its 2024 lineup. The concert will be held on Tuesday, March 26th at 7:30 p.m.

The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2024! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend 91快活林 without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at . The deadline to apply is April 12, 2024.

91快活林 will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15th in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Offices will reopen and the spring 2024 semester will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 16th.

It is forecasted that our area may experience a winter weather event this weekend and possibly into next week. With this in mind, we want to make sure the campus community is aware of our inclement weather procedure. Remember, 91快活林 will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

voices of classic soul group members

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91快活林 will kick off its 2024 entertainment schedule with a concert by Voices of Classic Soul on Friday, Jan. 19th at 7:30 p.m. The Voices of Classic Soul, feature the former lead singers of the Temptations, the Drifters, and the Four Tops.

The Adult Education Department at 91快活林 is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration beginning January 8, 2024.

The 91快活林 Board of Trustees met for its regular December meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 19th at 5 p.m. Shirley Dickerson, Chief Appraiser with the Titus County Appraisal District, addressed the board for public comment. She presented Board Chair Chuck Johns with a check for $4,391 from TCAD. Dickerson said that the appraisal district maintains a zero balance budget and divides excess among its taxing entities, which includes 91快活林.

The 91快活林 Foundation recently received a $1,000 gift from Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery. They are pictured presenting the gift to Nita May (right), 91快活林 Director of Development. Their gift, along with donations from numerous other friends, provided a total $7,500 to fund deserving projects submitted to the annual Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund grant.
