The 91����� Theatre Department, in collaboration with Firefly Community Theatre (Pittsburg Camp County Arts Council) will soon host auditions for it's upcoming radio play production of Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus, based upon the teleplay by Val De Crowl and Andrew J. Fenady. Auditions will be held on September 6th at 6 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts and callbacks (if needed) will be September 7th. Both 91����� students and members of the community are encouraged to audition.

91����� celebrated its August 2023 commencement on Friday, Aug. 11th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center. There were 95 total graduates (not all were in attendance) who received 69 degrees and 50 certificates of competency. Monaka Rash gave the student welcome and Yara Maldonado gave the student response address. 

By now you've probably heard about Pickleball, but have you given it a try? 91�����'s continuing education Pickleball class is back by popular demand!  There's never been a better time to get some exercise and have a great time making new friends and learning about this exciting sport.

Honors Northeast, the honors program of 91����� announces a call for poems and images that can accent or enliven our sense of the surroundings, people, the culture, and/or the history of Northeast Texas.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91����� is set to dazzle audiences with an exciting variety of performances for the 2023-2024 season. From world-renowned acts to local talents, this season promises a diverse range of entertainment that offers something for everyone. to view the full season brochure!

Entertainment Series

The Adult Education Department at 91����� is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration. While classes are offered in various convenient locations around the area, all registration will be held at the Community Resource Center (formerly MPISD Administration Building) at 105 N.

The 91����� Continuing Education department has a variety of fun learning opportunities lined up for the fall semester. If you are interested in signing up, please complete the registration forms (below) or call 903-434-8134 or e-mail continuinged@ntcc.edu.

91����� will host its August 2023 commencement ceremony tonight on Friday, Aug. 11 in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live on  and  for those who are unable to attend in person. 

It is hard to believe, but we are just three weeks away from the start of the Fall 2023 semester. Classes start Monday, Aug. 28th. There is still time to sign up, but you need to act now!

Most current students should be able to register online in the . New students should visit  to get started and schedule to see an advisor ASAP.

Members of Honors Northeast and the 91����� Webb Society are in the midst of an intense film week that has taken them, in 100-degree weather, from Lake Bob Sandlin to Lake Nacogdoches.  They are working on their 12th feature-length film on Texas history legends.  This year’s script is about the traveling preachers of early Texas.
