PTA students volunteer at special needs Valentine's dance

Six current 91¿ì»îÁÖ Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) students recently had the opportunity to volunteer at a special needs Valentine’s dance at Coppergate Ranch. These students took extra time out of their weekend to help make the event memorable for attendees aged 9-67. One special guest, Grace, was a 17-year-old girl who got to celebrate her first birthday party at the dance.

Softball sweeps National Park College

Wet field conditions pushed the 91¿ì»îÁÖ matchup with National Park College to Sunday, February 26th, and the Eagles used that extra day to prepare and came away with a sweep. Game one saw 91¿ì»îÁÖ defeat the Nighthawks 6-0 and win a back and forth contest in game two 11-10.

Baseball splits with Tyler Junior College

February 22nd the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Eagles head down to Tyler, Texas to open of Conference play for the 2023 season with the TJC Apaches. TJC would take game one, but it took extra innings to do so, winning 3-2 in eleven innings. Game two would go the Eagles way with a 9-2 win over the Apaches.

Foundation receives $197,778 from matching grant

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation recently received a check for $197,778 in Title V matching funds from the U.S. Department of Education. Thanks to a unique provision of the federal grant, all donations to the Foundation’s endowment are matched 100 percent by Title V funds.

Continuing Education to offer pickleball class

Have you heard about Pickleball and want to learn how to play? Come join the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Continuing Education Department for a class on this up-and-coming sport that is sweeping the country. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is an easy game for beginners to learn, so if you are looking for a fun, social and friendly game, Pickleball is for you!

91¿ì»îÁÖ hosts National Marrow Donor Program event

Did you know that thousands of patients with blood cancers could be cured with a blood stem cell or marrow donation from a genetically matched donor? The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Nursing program wants to help increase the odds of these patients finding a match by hosting a National Marrow Donor Program "Be The Match" event on Wednesday, March 8th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Anyone who is between the ages of 18 and 40 who is in good health and willing to donate to anyone in need is encouraged to stop by to participate.
