For the ninth consecutive year, Cypress Bank has presented a MacBook laptop for the use of 91����� honors students. This year?s recipient, Chesney Michael Davis, graduated third in his class from Pittsburg High School.

The board of the Bart Scharlach Memorial Foundation (BSMF) recently voted to move the management of the fund?s assets to the 91����� Foundation. In doing so, the gift reached the established level to rename both the Business Technology (BT) Building and the Whatley Center Auditorium on the 91����� campus.

The BT Building is now named the Bart Scharlach Business Technology Building, and the Whatley Center Auditorium is the Scharlach Auditorium.

Do you know someone who is interested in learning English or completing their GED (General Education Development)? The Adult Education Program at 91����� offers free GED and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at a variety of convenient locations. Registration for all locations will be held at the Community Resource Center (formerly MPISD Administration Building) at 105 N. Riddle Street on the following dates: August 9, 11, 15 and 17.

Both daytime and evening classes are available.
