Four 91¿ì»îÁÖ students named Jack Kent Cooke semi-finalists

Four 91¿ì»îÁÖ students learned yesterday that they are semi-finalists for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship. Alicia Cantrell, Brenda Godoy, Adriana Rodriguez and Cassidy Watkins were all named for the honor.†Finalists will receive a scholarship worth $40,000 for up to three years - a $120,000 value!

Cypress Bank sponsors the Celtic Tenors at the Whatley Center

Cypress Bank recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming holiday performance of the Celtic Tenors at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of 91¿ì»îÁÖ. Board names Ron Clinton sole finalist for president

Dr. Ron Clinton has been named the sole†finalist to become the next president of 91¿ì»îÁÖ. The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees voted to move forward with hiring Clinton for the post at a special-called board meeting Wednesday night. He has served as interim president of the college since October†1.

State law requires the college to give a 21-day notice of announcing a sole†finalist before appointing a new president.

?It is a unanimous decision for the board to hire Dr. Clinton.

Theatre Northeast to present Once Upon a Wolf

Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group of 91¿ì»îÁÖ, will present its annual Children?s Play December 2 and 3 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This year?s production is Once Upon a Wolf by Steph DeFerie.

This fast and furious collection of fractured fairy tales with a modern twist tells what happens when the Big Bad Wolf decides he doesn't want to be big or bad anymore! Old Granny Stinkyfeet is just trying to tell the kiddies some stories but she's having trouble with the Wolf. He won't eat her like he's supposed to!
