91¿ì»îÁÖ held a reception Thursday in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts to honor Gov. Bill Ratliff for his six years of service on the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees. Ratliff announced his retirement from the board at the regular August meeting. Ratliff began serving in Place Five on the board in 2012. The board will appoint a new member to fill the vacant place and serve the remainder of Ratliff’s term, which will be up for election in 2020.

September finally has fall weather coming our way and if you are like me there are some of your family traditions that include a special homemade recipe that just waits for days like this?

Six 91¿ì»îÁÖ Students recently learned they were named 2018 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise. Rhylie Anderson, Brynden Andrews, Madison Blood, Hannah Fouche, Keli Rymer and Jordan Whelchel will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for earning this national honor.

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Art Department will host its first exhibit of the 2018-2019 school year September 7-26 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A collection of drawings and watercolors by Steven Barker will be on display for public viewing during this time. A reception with the artist will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley foyer.
