The 91快活林 Baseball team took time out of their week to visit Harts Bluff school this Wednesday to assist with the morning drop off. Players had a great time assisting the staff and greeting students.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana is hosting a Preview Day for prospective students on Thursday, Oct. 19th. This is a great opportunity for 91快活林 students to learn more about academics/majors, paying for college, campus and residence life and student experiences. There will also be information for parents/guardians.

The 91快活林 Rodeo team will be hosting the third NIRA Southern Region Rodeo of the season on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st. Each night at 7:30pm we will have a calf dressing and costume contest. No cost to enter and each three-man team will compete for gift cards and a 91快活林 Rodeo Apparel for the Calf Dressing and Costume Contest.

91快活林 invites you to attend an Open House & Ribbon Cutting event for its new Health Sciences Simulation Center. The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19th from 3-6 p.m. The Sim Center is located on the north side of the 91快活林 campus near the tennis courts (formerly known as the Physical Fitness Annex building).

A tradition initiated in 2008, continued for students of Honors Northeast as they visited a major city, in this case, Fort Worth, Friday, 22 September. The group rendezvoused first at the Greenville Starbucks, before heading on to the Fort Worth Zoo, and the Rodeo Goat Restaurant.

91快活林 Rodeo made the long trip to Uvalde, Texas for the second NIRA Southern Region Rodeo of the season hosted by Southwest Texas Junior College. The Eagles had a pair of ladies do well in the Breakaway Roping.

According to Tardigrade specialist, Baker University Biologist, Dr. William Miller, it is official.  Students of 91快活林鈥檚 Dr. Chris McAllister have found the first samples of a microscopic animal, the Tardigrade, in this area of Northeast Texas. Sometimes known as the 鈥渕oss piglet,鈥 the tardigrade reaches a height of half a millimeter, which is barely visible but not discernable without a microscope. It craves environments of moss and lichen.

Get ready for a night of fantastic music as GENTRI (short for 鈥淭he Gentlemen Trio鈥) comes to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91快活林 on Monday, Oct. 23rd. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students. The performance is sponsored by Texas Heritage National Bank.

The 91快活林 Rodeo team headed to the first National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region Rodeo hosted by Panola College September 22-23, and the Men鈥檚 Team returned to campus as Champions of the Rodeo. The Men鈥檚 team was led by Coy Evans (Fort Supply, Ok) who finished 1st in Tie Down Roping, 8th in Team Roping, and second place in the All-Around Cowboy standings.
