Pride Celebration held June 9th

91快活林鈥檚 Pride Flock student organization hosted a Pride Celebration on June 9th in the Humanities building. The event included Pride crafts, water balloons and a featured showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The mission of Pride Flock is to create a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ students and allies, and to promote awareness and education of LGBTQ+ history and current issues.

A&M-Commerce admissions counselor coming to campus

Yadira Mu帽oz, Admissions Counselor for Texas A&M University-Commerce, is coming to 91快活林 on Tuesday, June 14. She will be in the Career and Transfer Center in BT 111 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mu帽oz will assist students with their applications and answer questions about transferring to A&M-Commerce.

91快活林 receives ALA COVID Relief Fund grant

The 91快活林 library was one of 77 libraries nationwide to be awarded an emergency relief grant from The American Library Association (ALA). The fund is providing $1.55 million in emergency relief grants to libraries that have experienced substantial economic hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic. Through the ALA COVID Library Relief Fund, 91快活林 will be awarded $20,000 to support library services and operations.

Three 91快活林 history students emerged on top in the 2021 Bonnie Spencer competition, for the best student essays in history.  Essays could have been entered from any history course from any history instructor, full-time or part-time, on campus or off, such as with embedded dual history classes.

Transferring? Meet with university representatives June 7-8

The 91快活林 Career and Transfer Center will host two opportunities for students to meet with university representatives next week. UT Tyler Admissions Coordinator, Annie Garcia, will be on campus June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career and Transfer Center in BT 111B. Texas A&M University Texarkana at 91快活林 Admissions Counselor, Jennifer Perez, will be in the same location from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 8.

Four graduate from 91快活林 Professional Driving Academy

The 91快活林 Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program.
