91快活林 Baseball hosted the North Conference leading Navarro Bulldogs on Saturday, April 22nd and came away with a series split with Navarro winning game one 10-2 and 91快活林 taking the win in game two, 4-3.

The 91快活林 Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day at the top of the leaderboard for the second year in a row this Tuesday. 91快活林 raised a whopping $244,730 via the annual fundraising event that has become a regional tradition.
In addition to raising the most money, 91快活林 also finished with the highest number of donations at 208. Nita May, 91快活林 Director of Development and event organizer, said that these numbers reflect the enthusiasm and effort put forth by 91快活林 employees, students and community members.

The first-ever pickleball class at 91快活林 wrapped up last week. The course was hosted by the continuing education department and taught by Marc Levesque. A total of 12 people participated and had a great time learning more about the growing sport. Congrats to our first pickleball graduates!
EVENT RESCHEDULED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER:
The 91快活林 Baptist Student Ministry will host a FREE pickleball tournament on Sunday, April 30th at 2 p.m. at the 91快活林 tennis courts. All students, faculty, staff and their immediate family members are welcome to participate. Come for food, fun and a chance to compete for $500 in cash prizes!

If you hate to laugh and don't like fun...definitely DON'T go see The 39 Steps, Abridged at the Whatley Center this weekend. On the other hand, if you want to have a great time enjoying high-energy, interactive theatre - you should definitely check it out! The production will continue with shows at 7:30 p.m. this Friday and Saturday and a final matinee Saturday at 2:30.
Recently, Dr. Paula Wilhite was the invited Friday evening keynote speaker for the 2023 Illinois Mathematical Association of Community Colleges Conference. In her presentation, 鈥淭he Beauty of Mathematics in Gershwin鈥檚 Classical Jazz鈥, she analyzed the patterns of mathematics in George Gershwin鈥檚 jazz where he applied techniques of musical composition based on mathematical algorithms.
