Art Department hosts painting exhibit by Melissa Goolsby-Copeland
The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Art Department is hosting an exhibit of mixed media paintings by Melissa Goolsby-Copeland. The paintings will be on display in the Whatley Center Foyer gallery through September 25. The exhibit is free to the public and is generally open for viewing Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9-12. Please call ahead at 903-434-8181 to ensure that the gallery is open.
Intramural doubles pool tournament scheduled
The office of Student Activities and Multicultural Affairs at 91¿ì»îÁÖ will host an Intramural Doubles Pool Tournament on Friday, Sept. 13 in the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Game Room (SUB). Backyard Bash planned for Sept. 4
The annual 91¿ì»îÁÖ Backyard Bash will be held Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 6-10 p.m. at the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Sports Complex. The event is FREE and open to all 91¿ì»îÁÖ students, employees and local high school juniors and seniors. It will feature free food (sponsored by Great Western Dining), live entertainment by Assaint Music, games and a meet and greet with 91¿ì»îÁÖ Eagles Athletes.

Speakers announced for Northeast Texas Poetry Reading

The annual Northeast Texas Poetry Reading on Friday, September 6 at 11 a.m. will again occur at the Foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the 91¿ì»îÁÖ campus. The public is invited for this free event, the twelfth of its kind in as many years. This year in addition to six readings of the highest-ranked poems of the adult and student divisions, and a presentation of winning Northeast Texas images, two speakers will share their perceptions of our region.
