Guaranty Bank sponsors 91¿ì»îÁÖ Work Scholarship student
Pat and David Sistrunk of Tyler recently gave $2,000 to the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation. The gift will sponsor two students in the college?s new Work Scholarship Program. The program allows students the opportunity to volunteer to work at 91¿ì»îÁÖ doing meaningful work (preferably in a field related to their major) and earning credit (in the form of a scholarship) towards their future college expenses. The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at 91¿ì»îÁÖ majoring in an allied health field. Representatives from Kilgore College, 91¿ì»îÁÖ (91¿ì»îÁÖ) and Texarkana College recently gathered on the 91¿ì»îÁÖ campus in Mount Pleasant to receive a $200,000 grant from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. The three colleges were awarded the money to†support the†creation of a†consortium†to promote student†success and†college efficiency.
The consortium was organized as an innovative way to upgrade to a new student information system as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation recently received an $1,800 gift from the Lions Club of Pittsburg. The donation will provide three $600 scholarships to 91¿ì»îÁÖ students from Camp County. The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation recently received a $500 gift to benefit a student majoring in fine arts.
