What are the library鈥檚 operating hours?

Fall and Spring semester hours:
Mon - Thurs: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Fri: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sat -Sun: Closed
 

Summer semester hours:
Mon -Thurs: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Fri: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sat - Sun: Closed

What is a database and how do I gain access?

Databases are available for searching and downloading content from electronic journals, magazines, newspapers, and eBooks.  For online access to the library鈥檚 Databases please go to our Library Databases page.

Access to Library databases is available to all currently enrolled 91快活林 students, as well as faculty and staff. Please use your myEagle Portal credentials to login. If you need further assistance contact library@ntcc.edu or 903-434-8151.

Will you help me choose a topic for my research paper?

From our Databases page, choose Opposing Viewpoints in Context, and then click on Browse Issues. This will provide you with an extensive list.

How do I search for books and videos available for checkout in the library?

The library subscribes to . If you are off-campus, please contact the library at (903)434-8151 for log-in credentials.  eBooks are available for download on your computer and all eReaders except the Kindle, which they hope to add soon.

How do I access the library鈥檚 online streaming video collection?

The library subscribes to an online streaming video collection from .  The collection is similar to Netflix, but it contains educational videos instead of popular movies.  These videos are often used as resources for research papers and school projects. If you are off-campus, please contact the library at (903)434-8151 for log-in credentials. 

What are Library Guides or LibGuides and how do I gain access?

I need help writing citations for my research paper. Do you have an online guide?

For online help with writing citations, please visit our .  Librarians are available for help in person during normal operating hours.

How do I obtain a library card?

Library cards may be issued to 91快活林 students, faculty, staff, and students of Texas A&M University-Texarkana who are taking classes on the 91快活林 campus, as well as to high school students and community residents of Camp, Morris, and Titus counties. 

A student ID (Eagle Passport), valid driver's license or other picture ID must be presented when signing up for a library card. High school students under 18 must also have a permission form or letter signed by his or her parents before checking out materials. Library cards allow you to check out books and videos for free. 
 

Off-Site Centers-  91快活林 faculty, students, and staff at off-site centers, (Pittsburg Hanson-Sewell Center, the Naples-Omaha Center, Our Place Restaurant, and the Industrial Technology Training Center), may register for library cards and request and return library materials without having to physically visit the library on 91快活林鈥檚 main campus.  Library materials may be requested from any center director in person, via phone or email, and can be returned to any off-site location.
