Women's Soccer headed to playoffs

The 91快活林 (91快活林) Women?s Eagles Soccer鈥爐eam鈥爄s headed to the Region 14 Tournament with a record of 8-6. The Lady Eagles? first playoff game will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Navarro. The Women split their games last week, picking up a victory against Paris Junior College and dropping their game against Hill college.


Melanie Barnes scored the first goal for the Eagles 20 minutes into their game against Paris last Saturday assisted by Nathalia Lomax. 22 minutes later McKenzia GoeDicke put another point up for the Eagles assisted by Michelle Butron. Bianca Galindo鈥爊ever let any balls into鈥爐he Eagle?s goal against Paris and the Eagles won the game 2-0.


The Lady Eagles had a hard time finding the net against Hill but they put the Hill Goalkeeper to the test with nine shots on goal in鈥爈ast Tuesday?s game. Hill College put the first point on the board 80 minutes into the game and Lomax answered six minutes later with a goal assisted by Butron, tying the score. The game鈥爈ooked like it washeaded into overtime when Hill College scored a last-minute goal, defeating the Eagles 2-1.
