The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation recently received a $10,000 gift from the East Texas Communities Foundation and the Burt and Nancy Marans Estate. Dr. Brad Johnson, 91¿ì»îÁÖ President (right) and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91¿ì»îÁÖ Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the donation. †The funds will be used to begin the restoration process for the Dr. John Biggers mural that will be relocated from Pewitt Elementary School to the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Charlie and Helen Hampton Learning Resource Center.

Dr. Tawny Nix gives scholarships

Dr. Tawny Nix, Director of the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Medical Assistant program, recently contributed $2,000 to the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation. The funds will provide scholarships to students majoring in Medical Assistant, Medical Coding or Health Informatics. Helen Hampton sponsors Pinkalicious

Helen Hampton (center) sponsored the April 3 performance of the popular children?s musical ?Pinkalicious" at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91¿ì»îÁÖ. Elizabeth H. Whatley leaves behind lasting legacy at 91¿ì»îÁÖ

91¿ì»îÁÖ lost a long time friend this week as Mrs. Elizabeth H. Whatley passed away at the age of 89. Services for Mrs. Whatley will be held Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. in Longview at the mausoleum at Rosewood Park.

?Mrs. Whatley and her husband James loved 91¿ì»îÁÖ. I am so glad that she got to experience the impact she had on our college first hand before she passed away. The Whatleys truly left a legacy that will live on for many†generations to come,? Dr.

Team Arise and Raw Iron Gyms recently teamed up to give $1,000 to the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation. The Mount Pleasant Fine Arts Club recently gave $500 to the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation. The funds will be used to provide a scholarship for an 91¿ì»îÁÖ student majoring in the fine arts. The group has been contributing to scholarships since 1985 when the college first opened.
